It would be wonderful to have a bedroom space which would accommodate a king size bed, a separate sitting area, plus all of the bedroom furniture. However, many times we are forced into reality and realize our bedroom space is limited and we must learn to live comfortably in the available area.

Measure the size of the bedroom. This will help you in not only choosing the correctly sized mattress; it will also help you in determining what type of headboard and footboard you will need. Allow enough room for you to maneuver around the bed without having to turn sideways. Otherwise, you could be in a real pickle when you try to put on that fitted sheet.
