Remember the days when everyone had a formal living room and a formal dining room that you couldn’t enter without mom’s permission? When I was growing up, that’s the way it was – those two rooms were reserved for company, and our family ate in the kitchen and hung out in the den. When people came to visit, of course we ate and visited in the more formal areas.
